About this site
Learn Inference is an interactive companion to Inference Engineering by Philip Kiely (Baseten Books, 2026). It follows the book’s structure and covers the same ground, with the explanations rewritten for the web and simulators built for the parts that are easier to understand by turning a dial than by reading a paragraph.

This is an independent project with no connection to Baseten or Philip Kiely. Nobody there reviewed it or signed off on it, and the rights to the book stay with its author and publisher. When a rewritten explanation or a figure here gets something wrong, the mistake was made here, not in the book.
The book itself is available from Baseten.
